My life remains rich because of the people I’ve connected with along the way, as it seems practically a daily experience of meeting fine talented people.
Yesterday my wife and I escorted Michelle our daughter-in-law, her mother Ako and Ryan our four-year grandson who are visiting from Maui, Hawaii to the NASCAR Hall of Fame. We had an amazing time just watching Ryan run from attraction-to-attraction, as we were unable to predict his favorite fascination.
Just observing and sharing this experience with Ryan was another priceless memory…
During the end of our four-hour walking journey I separated from the group to rest my painful hip.
As I was enjoying this comfortably designed rocking chair a conversation was prompted with this guy who happened to be standing directly in front of me. He was so nice and friendly… a gentleman of soft-spoken temperament, who together we seemed to quickly connect like two old reuniting friends.
As we introduced ourselves he shared his passion for acting and then when I asked about his experience he shared he is “The Other Brother Daryl” from the hit sitcom, The Bob Newhart Show.
At that moment there was a wave of appreciation for the many years of pure enjoyment from being a fan of The Bob Newhart Show… and all of a sudden… he actually felt like my other brother Daryl, it was awe-inspiring!
If you haven’t already visited… we highly recommend considering the NASCAR Hall of Fame.. needlessly you can probably tell we had a perfect afternoon.
The icing on the cake was meeting my new friend John Voldstad, hoping he’ll be joining us as a another special guest on our Sound Behavior Podcast, which will probably be several episodes because… he has so many GREAT STORIES!
Life is fascinating and sharing one-another’s experiences shouldn’t be underrated.
